Casket Firenze

This Italian coffin is uniquely elegant not only because of its flat coffin shape, also because of the hand-laid inlaid lilies.

The surface of this elegant coffin is made entirely of marquetry. They are made from the veneer woods Ebano Macassar, lime and ash. White and pink mother-of-pearl is used for the Florentine lily leaves.
The coffin corpus shown is made of the solid wood lime. This basic wood of the corpus is visible e.g. at the edges of the lid. The handcrafted inlaid surfaces are open-pored. The edges can also be stained, as can be seen in a picture of another custom-made coffin in our photo gallery.
